Material Thought

Material thought arose when I had to experiment with a type of material. I chose wool as my subject of inspection and tried out different methods to work with this material. In the end the most evident property of this material were all the associations that we have both culturally and personally with this material. It became a phenomenological and rather philosophical endeavour. Therefore a helmet hat was the iteration that could embody the nature of how I interpreted this material wool. The hat piece has poetry written inside of it and has laser printed tattoos on the outside which makes it an intriguing fashion piece.
